Roarr Dinosaur Adventure - Norfolk

https://www.roarrdinosauradventure.co.uk/

Located in Norfolk, Roarr is the biggest dinosaur park in the UK so it’s well worth a visit. The reviews of this place are incredible and so many people are returning time and again because you’ll never get bored; there really is so much to do here.

There is the Lost World A-maze-ing Adventure if you fancy navigating your way around a prehistoric themed maze. You’ll also find things like a high rope course, dino raceway and even a splash zone. If the weather isn’t 100% reliable, and we know that can happen in the UK, why not wait out the storm in the indoor soft play?

One of the biggest attractions at Roarr is the dinosaur trail which is spread over 85 acres of woodland and is packed with exciting things to see like raptors and a ginormous brachiosaurus. When you’re done adventuring, you can even have a round of dino mini golf. And if all that wasn’t enough, there’s even a secret animal garden where you can get up close and personal with some more modern creatures.

Dinosaur Isle - Isle Of Wight

https://www.dinosaurisle.com/

The Dinosaur Isle is excellent for kids that want to learn more about these amazing beasts. It’s more of an interactive museum than a park but just as worth a visit for dino lovers than any of the other places in this list.

Dinosaur Isle is home to more than 1000 fossils and is backed as being ‘the dinosaur capital of the UK’ by none other than the Natural History Museum; that’s got to count for something!

When we say this is interactive, we really mean it. Your kids will be amazed when they are able to control a life sized model of a dinosaur. Plus there are plenty of other life sized models for them to get up close and personal with.

What’s great about Dinosaur Isle is that the fun doesn’t start and end at the doors. There are daily walks around the local area with experts that make learning about dinosaurs fun. Fossil walks and beach walks are available to book on the website so make sure you secure your space before you go.

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park - Devon

What’s brilliant about Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is that you can combine a love for dinos with a love for other animals and get the best of both worlds. This park is set overlooking the stunning Devon coastline and is home to a plethora of attractions.

In total, the park boasts 19 robotic dinosaurs as well as a number of static models. The most exciting of all is the life size T Rex which is sure to give the kids a thrill. To fully explore the park, you can take advantage of the Dino Express which is a train that runs through the park and out of the other side of a tunnel, you’ll find yourself in the caveman village.

For those who want a more in depth education on these prehistoric creatures, the park is also home to a museum where you’ll find a number of fossils and other displays. There’s a second museum based around ancient Egypt so you really are covering all bases.

When you’re done exploring the dino themed areas of the park, there’s also a zoo to discover. Here, you will find a wide selection of animals including big cats, monkeys, wolves, birds and much more. After that, there’s a chance for the kids to burn off any remaining energy at the indoor soft play.

Totally Roarsome - Various Locations

https://www.totallytickets.co.uk/

Totally Roarsome has parks in the East Midlands, the West Midlands and Yorkshire. Regardless of which location you choose, you’re in for a treat. This park is based more around the concept of a dinosaur trail in gorgeous woodlands.

These trails are packed with dinosaur models that will amaze and thrill the kids, and perhaps even the adults. On top of these there are lots of other models to discover as you move along the trail including a selection of animals and even some superheroes!

Totally Roarsome trails only take around 60 minutes to complete so you’re not looking at a whole day out here. However, this is one of the most affordable options on this list so it’s worth checking out if you’re looking to kill a bit of time in the afternoon. What’s more, there are other events going on throughout the year including Totally Gruesome at Halloween and Totally Christmas during the festive season.

Lost Kingdom - Hampshire

https://paultonspark.co.uk/themed-worlds/lost-kingdom

The Lost Kingdom is part of the larger Paultons Park theme park which offers day trips and short breaks. If you’re travelling with a family that has diverse interests then this is a great option as the wider park will have something for everyone.

But for now, we want to discuss the dinosaur park which seriously impressed us. There are tons of animatronic dinosaurs to discover as well as some exciting thrill rides, including two roller coasters. However, there is also a great variety of toddler and family friendly rides as well.

What we really love about the Lost Kingdom is how well the theme park has managed to capture the essence of the Jurassic period. The area has been done out in such a way that it appeals to all of your senses and really makes you feel as though you’ve gone back in time.

We also couldn’t write this review of Paultons without mentioning the Peppa Pig World which is one of the biggest attractions here. For younger kids, this is a must see once you’ve exhausted everything there is to do at the Lost Kingdom.

Crystal Palace Park Dinosaurs - London

https://www.crystalpalaceparktrust.org/things-to-do/dinosaurs/

If you’re in the capital then it would be a crime not to take a wander around Crystal Palace park where you will find one of the very best dinosaur trails in this part of the country. What’s so special about it? Well, the trail has been entertaining visitors for over 160 years so the dino sculptures are among some of the oldest!

Even Prince Albert and Queen Vic herself paid a visit to this Jurassic wonderland. There are around 30 dinosaur sculptures in total. Some are rather hilarious while others are incredibly impressive in terms of detail. They’re of course, by no means as intricate as some of the more modern models of dinosaurs but they’re well worth taking a look at if you’re a fan.

But the fun doesn’t end with the dinosaurs. There’s a lot more to do at Crystal Palace park including a skatepark and a maze. You’ll also find a museum and the National Sports Centre so you could quite easily spend a long afternoon here.

Dino Park - Dumfries

https://www.dinopark.co.uk/dino-park/

If you’re on the other side of the border then you cannot miss out on the Dumfries Dino Park. Compared to some, it is smaller with around 15 dinosaur models. However, they’re all extremely detailed and exciting so it’s still worth a visit.

What’s more, there are plenty of other dinosaur related activities to be discovered here so you could certainly spend a day and not get bored. For example, there’s a dinosaur soft play and the venue even hosts birthday parties and special events. You can dig for fossils or listen to dinosaur stories in the den. There’s even a tree house to explore!

Being located within a garden centre, the adults can also enjoy a mooch around and shop for some things to spruce up the garden. It’s a win for all the family.

Gullivers Dinosaur and Farm Park - Milton Keynes

https://www.gulliverslandresort.co.uk/

No matter which of the Gullivers theme parks you visit, you will find a dinosaur themed zone. However, the one at Milton Keynes has been hailed as the best and it’s not difficult to see why. You need to book tickets online but if a child is under 90cm, they go free! That’s not an offer to be sniffed at.

Within the Dinosaur park, you’ll find a whole host of moving and static dino models that are pretty detailed. There are also some exciting rides and attractions for all members of the family including the Jurassic river ride and the fossil dig. There are also a great number of other educational activities like the observation tower and a dinosaur that roams the park so you can meet and greet him.

This year, there is a special guest appearance by the Very Hungry Caterpillar who has been spotted roaming around the dinosaur park so make sure you keep your eyes peeled. And if it’s animals you love then the farm is the perfect place for horses, llamas, goats and much more.

Dinosaur Kingdom At Landmark - Scotland

https://www.landmarkpark.co.uk/attraction/dinosaur-kingdom/

Another of the best dinosaur parks in the UK is located across the Scottish border. In fact, this one claims to be the biggest and best in Scotland and we have to agree. The Landmark forest Adventure Park is home to some of the most realistic models out of all the parks and there’s more than enough to keep everyone entertained for the whole day.

One of the most exciting attractions here is the huge moving T Rex that’ll give them a thrill, or maybe even a scare! But what’s most interesting is how the models appear to interact with one another so it’s really like you’ve taken a step back in time and are watching these creatures in their natural environment.

The Dinosaur Kingdom has a whole host of other things to do including the Tarzan Trail, a water roller coaster, a butterfly park and maze and monkey trail. But one of the most unusual and unique activities here is the Bamboozeleum where you’ll find an array of weird and wonderful exhibits that will truly perplex the mind!

Conclusion

North or South, East or West, the UK is packed with plenty of exciting and adventurous dinosaur parks. With lots of moving models, exciting rides, educational attractions and much more, you and the family will love spending time in these amazing parks. All that remains is to choose your favourite!
